Utjecaj i veza kanalizacijskih sustava i uređaja za pročišćavanje otpadnih voda
- suvremena iskustva s primjerom projekata optimalizacije
kanalizacijskog sustava grada Zagreba

Neuralni model upravljanja kanalskim sustavima
M.Sc. Božidar Deduš dip.ing. Dip. HE (Delft)

Application of a Novel Approach to Sewer System Analysis
B. Deduš, M. Pavleković
Sažetak
"The Zagreb Sewerage System Optimization Project" (ZSSO), initiated at the end of 1994, has established new
standards in urban drainage modeling within Croatia.
Croatia, as a Central European country in transition, is in need of effective solutions for its ambitious wishes
in the field of infrastructure projects. The World Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development
participate in several sewerage and wastewater treatment projects. Due to growing concern about the water quality,
local funds are being directed to the revision of existing sewerage master plans.
Zagreb is a modern European city, the capital of Croatia and its biggest industrial center. The city has realized
that any further investment in the sewer system or the WWTP without preceding research is unwise. At the beginning
of 1995 the first phase of the ZSSO started, set out to collect all available data on the present state of the
sewerage system, and to bring about tools for the creation of a Master Plan.
Final goal of the project is to bring about a powerful engineering and decision making tool for real time control
(RTC), on behalf of future investments such as an integral flood protection system, a reconstruction of the GOK
(the main outlawing open channel), the construction of a WWTP, etc. Overall water quality, especially of the
groundwater resources (the main drinking water source of the city of Zagreb) is a very important issue too. |

Use of Historical Rainfall Series for Hydrological Modeling
Third International Workshop on Rainfall in Urban Areas Pontresina
(Switzerland), 4-7 December 1997
M.Sc. Božidar Deduš Dip.HE(Delft) dipl.ing., Vesna Rogulja dipl.ing., Draženka Raguž dipl.ing
Sažetak
The Zagreb sewerage optimization project is today one of the most comprehensive projects concerning sewage
systems, undertaken in Croatia so far. The core of the project is creation of the "Master plan", but project
initiates series of real world processes. The aim is to change the way sewerage system of Zagreb is being treated,
operated, maintained and designed. Economical validation of short terms remedial and long-term development
measures are being validated against risk criteria. Project is in coordination with other infrastructures and/or
environmental protection projects underway.
The purpose of this paper is to discuss how the choice of means and ways of usage of rainfall data can influence
the final result. Paper also explains the way, rainfall records and existing IDF curves were used in the project so far. |
